Re: The Unofficial String, Wood, & Noise Pub Crawl Thread

Just thought I'd share this with you lot.

Picked one of these up for absolute peanuts off of eBay (on the back of many good reviews)...

It's seriously good. Exactly what I was looking for.
I put it in front of my Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret (approximating a Marshall Super Lead) and it just fattens up the tone to a delicious level of dirt. I was aiming for the tone in Zeppelin's "The Lemon Song"....

and I've found it

Re: The Unofficial String, Wood, & Noise Pub Crawl Thread

mono's interesting fact #1:

Every time you brush your teeth (hopefully, you do!), you flush a load of
bacteria into your bloodstream that were previously sitting between your
teeth.

In your mouth, these bacteria don't cause any disease as they are
happy with the role they occupy (ie. what they consume, what consumes
them etc.) but in your blood they can latch on to heart valves or tissue if
either of those are damaged.

Once they latch on, they cause your immune system to go a bit haywire
and can lead to your heart valves inflaming - this impacts on blood flow
AND spreads the bacteria to further parts of your body.

This is called infective endocarditis.
It is the reason you may have to take antibiotics before major tooth surgery.

Should I use an antiseptic mouth wash before I brush?

Unless you have had a heart attack or anything else that would change your heart tissue from anything but normal (and make it more ideal for bacteria to take hold in it), then there's no need. It's like a tiny amount of bacteria that get in every time you brush so in terms of risk vs. benefits, I'll always say stick with what you know.

Just thought it might be nice to share some of these every day things with you lot

Darn...
To think of all the money I could have saved from toothbrushes and toothpaste...
I could have bought myself a few more gits and live a bit longer to enjoy them...

Yeah he's fine that was 13 years ago. Besides being a smart ass teen he's pretty much normal now.
It was the first opperation of a new non open heart surgery technique in Aus.
( so they said). To do the operation they went in through the groin to the heart and inflated a balloon to open the valve to the heart that was not fully open. Cool huh.
Pretty sure thats how it worked. Mono may know more.

i dunno mono does it really bother you?I mean if you were the one being stalked & harassed for the past year or so by jerkoffs wouldn't you get sick of their lies & bullshit eventually too?
i'm getting a serious de ja vu from last summer when some kids decided to play king & queen of the monkey bars.Initially I put it down to some sort of haze the new guy but I can see now there's this deep seated vendetta against awesome ball breaking experts such as myself & the rest of the Round Table of Knuckleheads

there's 4" of water in the backyard too

Re: The Unofficial String, Wood, & Noise Pub Crawl Thread

I also recall a certain member here "recruiting" a member from the "other" forum to come here and join their side and essentially stir the pot...about 1.5 years ago.
That guy lasted about 60 posts before he was perma-banned.
That member even had the nerve to admit to me, via PM, that he did it while laughing.
Also found out that the banned recruit was 16 years old.
Some people just want to be right all the time and when not, they have a freak out or just are forum trolls...every forum has em.
My issue is that it gets tiring and I fall into their little game.

P.S. Mono...this IS the pub, remember?
