Thumbs up Greco 1977 Les Paul Standard

This is one hell of a guitar. probably my main axe, and I have lots of great instruments. Just plays and sounds great, as good or better then any Gibson I have ever played. I did not care for the dark green finish, but it looks much better since I put the all black hardware on it. Tone Pros wrap around bridge, EMG 81/85.

Smile Re: Greco 1977 Les Paul Standard

I did a bit of a MOD on the Tone Pros bridge: There did not seem to be enough tension across the saddles, so I cut grooves in the back part of the wrap around area so the string can sit a bit lower and increase the pressure on the saddles. Not a big deal at all, took me about 10 minutes. Filled in the part where I filed with a black sharpie! Works great now. Unless you look real close, nobody would even notice.

Very cool! I did that too to a few of my Tone Pros. I wish they came stock that way!

I have seen some bridges that have grooves in them, this one needed them for sure, or that back wall that the strings lay on... it needs to be lower all the way across. I thought about trying to take it down on the belt sander all the way across, but this was easier, safer, and probably looks better.
