Your GAS list
Apologies if there is another thread on this - I did search but nothing came up.
Post all the stuff you want. It's nice to share these kinds of things, and I, for one, have some serious GAS and need re-assurance that I'm not the only one! This is my dream rig: Fender American Standard Stratocaster Fender American Standard Telecaster Gibson Les Paul Standard or Traditional with a Bigsby Marshall JTM45 + 4x12 slant cab (I just can't seem to make up my mind as to which amp I want... First it was a Vox AC30, then a Marshall Bluesbreaker, then an AC30 again, then a Marshall JMP half-stack, then a Fender Vibroverb, now this...) Arbiter FuzzFace Ibanez Tubescreamer Vox Satchurator Dunlop Crybaby And so, excluding the Strat, Crybaby and Satchurator (which I already have), and buying used, I will need... +£0650 +£1350 +£1250 +£0080 +£0080 =£3410 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Incidently, I have a 99 ES-335, red flametop w/ bigsby that I'm probably gonna unload soon. So any interested parties keep your eye on the classified page.

Re: Your GAS list
All I really want (for now) is an American made electric guitar (Strat, Tele, LP, SG, or Semi-Hollow will do). As it is, I have all of the types of electric guitars I like, but they are all foreign made (Epiphone, Harmony, Ibanez, Tradition). I do have my 1975 USA-made Harmony acoustic though. But for the sake of GAS, I want a USA electric.

Re: Your GAS list
Guitars:
Charvel San Dimas Style 2 G and L Rampage Music Man Axis ESP Kirk Hammett Sig Amps: Some sort of hi-gain low-wattage job like a Blackstar HT5 or Krank Rev Jr. Champagne taste and a beer budget. At least the Rampage comes in a tribute model. I guess that makes it the High Life of guitars

Re: Your GAS list
First--if I never get any more gear again--I'll be okay--as long as I get to keep what I have now.
BUT, there are things I'd like to get if the opportunity presents itself-- So-while there are other things, here are the main things- GUITARS: -A biscuit cone reso (Preferably a National) -A Strat/Strat style guitar (Fender or G&L) -Six string flat top acoustic, preferably with a built in pickup and smaller than Dread/Jumbo size-bigger than parlour sized. An Orchestra size would be good. (I'll go with any of the Godin brands, but would also consider higher priced ones) -A semi hollow with a trapeze (Gibson, Ibanez, Hagstrom, possibly Epi) AMPS: -a small tube amp--preferably a Fender PEDALS: -A Digital Dimension (Boss) the one with the dials, not the push buttons--a Chorus on steroids -Volume pedal (Need to check out brands.) Nothing I need--I play at home as a hobby, and now & then at church.

Re: Your GAS list
There are certainly some things I'd like to have, but I'd be perfectly okay with what I have now. What I mostly want is more recording gear (mics, software, etc.) and a bigger music room!
One piece of gear I will be getting soon is a Line 6 POD X3 Live. I really like the Line 6 mod and delay effects, and I can use this as a silent recording medium as well. Other than that, I wouldn't mind a better overdrive pedal. I like the ones I have, but I don't love any of them. Someday I would like to have a P-90 equipped solidbody, as well as a big jazz guitar, but I won't be purchasing either of those anytime soon.

Re: Your GAS list
Aww- let's think.
Realistic if I get decent bonuses- Les Paul Traditional Cherry Sunburst with improved wiring ESP Horizon FR-II Dream-On wish list- Fender Custom Made Strat- like my Plus, but with a properly fitting neck, 3 tone burst finish and Noiseless Hots* Fender Custom Made Strat- like my Jap Hot Rod, but with decent wood for the body and 3 tone burst finish* Gibson R9 with decent PIO's Gibson VOS Black Beauty (non-Bigsby) ESP Horizon FR-II custom seven string Amps- Mesa Boogie Mk V Other gear- THD Hot Plate TC-Electronic G Major or G-Force * I'm going to get these guitars sorted, but it'd be nice to have well made models without 'repairs' that will probably mean that the guitar won't quite have the tone/sustain that they'd have if they were tip top in the first place...

Custom Shop USA Made BC Rich Mockingbird~
Basically like this ![]() But stained in Black (so you can still see the wood), Diamond inlays, Black hardware, Two Seymour Duncan Crazy 8 Humbuckers, Black Locking Sperzel tuners and wrap around BC Rich tailpiece. Also, Bolt-on/Set-neck so it won't be headstock heavy. |
