New Les Paul Type Bass I built
I just finished this. I've been working on it a while. solid mahogany body, padouk neck, pau ferro board. bartolini stingray pickup with active EQ. The top is hand tooled, hand dyed, English leather. I hope you like it.

I'd love to see the Gary Moore, I always wanted one. If you decide to sell it. Please keep me in mind.

Re: New Les Paul Type Bass I built
Thank you all very much. I think they're kinda cool, people are buying them. So I guess they like them too. The leather feels nice under your arm. I treat it with the same stuff they use on car seats, so it should wear well. But thanks again for your kind words.

Re: New Les Paul Type Bass I built
Big, It's all bartolini electronics, solid mahogany body, it weighed in at 9lb 12oz
Solid musicman stingray tone. My opinion on basses has always been, just give me one great tone. I was a bass player for years.

Re: New Les Paul Type Bass I built
It's gone, it sold quickly. The next guitar I'm building will be a Tele, but just a tooled pickguard. I couldn't pass up the warmoth sale. I'm going to do a rosewood board. I've had many Tele's, but they've all been maple. I want to try a RW.

No surprise it sold quickly, excellent work!
Since you like Tele's & work with leather so much, have you done a Waylon Jennings tribute? |

Re: New Les Paul Type Bass I built
His guitar was totally covered in leather. There's a man that does them for $2000.00 and up. I don't have near the skills that Mr. Mosby has. But I do think if you totally enclose the guitar you'll lose some tone. But we've gotten no ill effects with just tops, as I've played them before and after.Thank you for your kind words.

Thank you, coming from you that means a lot. Those are beautiful guitars you're building! What a great design. We need to get the word out on you.
