Looking to buy my son a guitar. He's only 6.
Just hoping some of you guys might be able to point me in the right direction.
My young fella is starting to show some interest in the guitar so I'm looking at getting him a 3/4 size electric. Showed him his first chord "D" on my Lester over the weekend. He did well but obviously only being 6 he only has short widdle fingers. Do you have any suggestions of brands etc that aren't complete peices of shite? I would rather pay a little more and get something that is decent than be a tight ass and get a complete peice of rubbish. Thanks.

Squier Mini strat! I got one of these for my former step-son and they rock! Extremely well made for the price. Tune it up to G and rock out. I would advise noodling with it for a day or two before you give it to him, I think you'll like what you find! Played very nice, sounded great. A real solid beginner instrument.

Squire mini, not a bad price. About $180 Aus.
I think the Bennett is around $200.

PeeWees, VeeWees, and other super small guitars are so small that they really aren't functional. This guitar tunes up to standard tuning quite nicely strung with 11's. ^^^

Oh who cares--there was something to add.
If someone starts a new thread, someone else will post a link to the old thread. If they post in the old thread they get chastised for bringing back an old thread. So, big deal--someone posted in an eight month old thread. It was cool to re-live.
