Dru Whitefeather Straps = Scam
Hi guys,
I don’t normally post on these forums but I wanted to share my story with as many people as possible so they don’t get burned like I did. My wife purchased a guitar strap from Dru Whitefeather on October 21st 2011 originally as a Christmas present. She emailed Dru in early November to ask when it would arrive and he replied to let her know that he was a bit behind and it would be around 3 weeks. We were not concerned at this point and were looking forward to receive the strap. My wife emailed twice more before Christmas to follow up, but never heard back from him. It took until January 30th for his next email! He said he was sorry, but he was busy with the NAMM show, relocating etc. At this point it had been over 3 full months with no product and we were starting to get concerned. That was the last email we received from him, even though my wife contacted him several times after that. We paid him up front, and never received the product. The strap was $170 dollars with shipping. He states on his website that he will respond to emails within 24 hours. He has never responded to us in that time frame. After not hearing from him, I emailed him from my private email asking to make a big order of 5 straps to see if he would respond to that. He emailed back a couple days later saying that would not be a problem. I did not respond and HE followed up again with me asking if I was still interested in the large order. This man was obviously getting my wife’s emails and choosing not to reply. My wife only received 2 emails from this man ever. All in all, I just wanted to share my story so others don’t lose money with this person. I understand some of you may have had dealings with him in the past which have been positive but my experience was negative. If anybody has any questions you can PM me. I have a full history of our emails, and his responses, or lack thereof. I apologize if this is in the wrong spot on this forum. Last edited by Geordie; 04-23-2012 at 11:09 AM. |

Re: Dru Whitefeather Straps = Scam
I had the exact same problem last year. I ordered and paid for two straps at a cost of £170. I emailed and got a reply next day saying delivery would be three weeks. After a month I emailed him back and he said things were running late due to a moving of premesis. Since then, and many emails, I have not had a single reply. I live in Scotland and I'm pretty sure he's just done a runner with the cash. By the way, Paypal were absolutely useless in any way when tryiing to get a refund.

Re: Dru Whitefeather Straps = Scam
* Yep. A lot of potential customers are watching...
Just found this and I'm going to chip in with my experiences and also send a link to him so he can reply. I've ordered 3 straps from him and each time it has been like pulling teeth to get any updates , e-mail replies and any information whatsoever! He has always been all to ready to take your money and play the nice guy, answer all your questions before you pay,yet after that...the promised 2-3 weeks will turn into 2-3 + MONTHS! He has a very bad business ethic of taking the money and running. No follow-up. But I have always been persistent and only after threats of PayPal claims,BBB reports and public shaming msgs. on his FB and other page etc. does he eventually come through. I've heard all the excuses given(and we all know a bullshit story when we hear one, right) NAMM,dead dog, sick wife, sick sister blah blah blah(this guy sounds exactly like IndianScout - smae scams and lame excuses). So after the extraordinarily loooong wait for my last strap,I said NEVER AGAIN! I would recommend NOT DEALING with him, personally. Not worth the time or trouble. And if you do have trouble and he doesn't follow through: By all means...REPORT HIM! Here is his FaceBook page if you care to get in touch publicly. |

Re: Dru Whitefeather Straps = Scam
Hey guys,
Thanks for the stories. Hopefully lots of people read this! My wife and I put in a dispute with Visa and they sided with us and we received our money back from them. From there they need to contact Drew to get the money back but it's out of our hands and at least we got our cash back. This guy is a con and I'm glad people are taking notice. I'm learning that especially when it comes to international orders, he doesn't come through as a couple of people have pm'd me. |

Wonder if he knows the "Rhythm : Trouble" guy
Fortunately that dirt-bag only got 20 bucks outta me, but the MO is the same. ![]() We should start a special "MLP Hall of Infamy" and list all these shit-heads for the world to see and avoid. |

Re: Dru Whitefeather Straps = Scam
Whoa, them too now? I actually had a positive experience with them, my LP still wears the pokerchip I got from them.
