I just picked up a 2008 MIM fender tele.

Lemme tell ya, it's realllly hard fighting off the MIM haters without getting mad, but it's going. Anyway it's awesome. Just thought i should share!

That's such a classy look, I'm sure you're going to have a ball with it. They're so much Tele-y bang for the buck.

I wouldn't worry too much about the MIM snobbery. Fender is making such quality instruments these days that you really can't go wrong with anything. Besides, unless the string tree and the switch tip are the only original components left on your Tele, you're doing it completely wrong.

If that doesn't make you feel better, you're welcome to go cork sniffer to your heart's content on me. I stuck a stripped, Bubba Modded Affinity body (thin and light) on my Shred-o-Tele. Next week I'm selling the house and buying a double wide.

Hahah well it does make me feel better, thank you very much. Need all the reassurance I can get with all the MIM snobs, but ya know, it's just plain awesome. I christened it with Yellow Ledbetter, just put it on the neck pup and rolled with it, just...awesome.
