1st time here...hey, I'm a virgin!
But seriously, folks... Through some recent research, I've come across alot of good info from this site and decided to join. I believe there's a section here re: 335s, too, especially Epiphones? If so, would one of you kind folks direct me there? Just bought an MIJ ES 335 Epi and am in the throes of upgrading. Would love to find out what others are doing/have done to their acquisitions. Thanks. All input appreciated!

There is a 335 thread in the other Gibsons section. Check it out. Welcome and post some pics of your 335. Got my 1st a week ago and am in love. I have some pics of min in that section too.

Welcome to the forum. Have a great time, learn about guitars, help others who need info and want to learn, and share as many pics as you can.

Welcome to the forum.
First lesson: learn to control your GAS attacks. Stop thinking about upgrades and spend as much time as possible with your new guitar. When you will start feeling that there is something you would like to upgrade, then do some (or rather a lot) research on it. modding for the sake of modding can be like a never-ending money-throw-away game. I hear that those MIJ Epis are kick-ass guitars. Lesson No.2: Photos are much appreciated around here... |

Re: 1st time here...hey, I'm a virgin!
Hey, thanks for all the welcomes! I keep sayin' I'm way past GAS, at 60 years old. But I guess not afterall. I sold an upgraded Squier Tele CVC to get this Epi 335. Got $500 for the Tele, paid $275 for this 2000, MIJ/Fugigen 335. I played it through my Tonemaster Reverb and liked it. But, alas the p'ups are too muddy. So, she's at my luthier's getting a set of Fralin Pure PAFs, buffalo horn nut, CTS pots, SBE caps and new wiring harness. I just can not work in that f*in F hole to do that job. Frets leveled and dressed. Amber switch tip and black/clear speed knobs. The next area of attention will be the tune-o-matic and stop tailpiece. Does anyone know what's a good one to install? Stew-Mac, Mojo, or? And what size? I'd like to get one ordered so when she gets back from the luthier, I'll have it to go on. TIA for any help.
