Ebony or grungy dyed Rosewood?

I can't tell what this fret board is. Can you? I tried looking it up but it's from 1999 and there's little to no info out there. It's a MIK Epi G400

I'm gonna guess rosewood, not dark enough for ebony.

It's hard to tell from those pictures, but if I had to guess I'd go with rosewood based on the color and grain of the board in the first pic.

Absent the Goth, has any Epi G-400 ever come with an ebony board?

I'm not sure if any others came with ebony necks. But I can say that the parts on this guitar don't resemble that of the newer ones. Here's a shot of a tuner.

My '89 Les Paul has a very dark rosewood neck, almost the same color as ebony. That looks like a very dark rosewood though

With how dry it looks I would say it's Rosewood. If it was Ebony I would bet it would have hair line cracks all over it.

Ok, after some cleaning and oiling, I think I've answered my own question. Definitely looks like Rosewood. But just to be sure,here's some new pics.
