Re: ESP Pros is this real?

I've never seen it either. I'm not a big expert on fakes, but I have never seen a LTD-50 in that color, with a floyd, or with a ESP logo and not LTD. Let alone "the Eclipse".

I guess the real question, is do you care? It's not a Gibzon Wes Pawul, it's a fake Chinese level guitar.

As someone else said on this forum before, creating fake Chinese guitars, is like making fake one dollar bills.

The thing that gets me though, is it's a bolt on neck. All ESP Eclipse's (as far as I know), shouldn't be bolt on. Maybe they didn't do that when the company started and all of them we're just ESP name. Who knows

This is what another user posted in a thread just like your's.

Not sure if this was made strictly for the US market or not. A lot of those serial numbers for the neck plates were randomized as well. Since the mid 90's Eclipses were bolt-on's you can take the neck off and sometimes they will have a date written in pencil on edge of the neck pocket or even on the neck.
These often came with ESP LH-200 Humbuckers. Which had A5's in the bridge and A3's in the neck. Would measure from 7.2k-9.7k
These were produced from 1994-1999.
They listed/sold from $1,400 to $2,000.
Yes they may be deemed "import" guitars to some, but these were made in the custom shops in Japan. They werent widely mass produced.
Resale values fluctuate. But nowadays, these are finally getting recognized for their consistency, quality, and sound.
How much did you pay for this?

+1. These are one of the earlier made Eclipse's. These are usually of high quality and some if not all were made in the custom shop as stated. The see through colors were a dead giveway as many of them were used during the 90's. The ESP logo font they haven't changed, but I don't remember the Eclipse logo being that font (perhaps the earlier custom models were that way). The body, color, and headstock shape seem consistent to me.
