A Couple of Specials

From the Arlington, TX guitar show:

I had this one listed as a '56 and the second one as a '58 but I'm not 100% sure that is correct:

Re: A Couple of Specials

What do you do with a guitar with 4 strings? Cool pictures man.

Re: A Couple of Specials

The tenor single cut is really interesting. I've seen tenor SG's from time to time, but this is the first time I've ever seen a tenor special - or any
tenor LP's, for that matter.

Unfortunately, tenor guitars are not very saleable items, and are virtually worthless as investments.

Re: A Couple of Specials

Neko Case (Great Musician) plays tenor guitars, including a TV Yellow LP Special, pictured below:

Re: A Couple of Specials

Jason Molina used to play a tenor guitar in Songs:Ohia as well.

It's not really a much different concept than playing a mandolin (four courses of strings) or a ukulele, or even a banjo (four strings with a drone string).
