Re: Show the v's

Indeed they are. Best sounding pickups I've ever had in this guitar!

I am really diggin' this V. The pickup covers need a little more abuse though IMO.
Here is a recipe.....Combine a bunch of nails, glass, and bolts in a heavy duty zip lock and put the covers in the bag. Shake vigorously for 10 minutes then remove. They should look a little better.

Re: Show the v's

Just picked this up today. Gonna add some zebra Duncans (SH-5 Custom & Pearly Gates neck w/split) and rock out ala Schenker (minus the talent part). Pics are with and without flash. I just pulled the stock white pickguard with the double black 500T and threw my alternate pickguard on to see what it looks like.

Re: Show the v's

My '70's Moonstone V. Neck through flamed maple five-piece neck, two of maple, three of some dark stringer wood (no idea). Body sides are mahogany sandwiches with maple burl fronts and backs, maple burl headstock facing. Trem is brass. The pickups, when I acquired it way back when, were SD Invaders. Pulled those and put in Tom Andersons (Invaders are in the case). Fretboard is Brazilian rosewood. 24 frets.

Re: Show the v's

this thread was REALLY usefull, it helped me make my decision on which guitar to get. I was stuck between an explorer and a V, but all the V's here just made me want one so bad!

BTW I ordered it in classic white, and Ill post pics if I buy it.
