Here's mine. Sorry about the poor photo quality.

I am suspicious that it may be a 'fake'. Any thoughts?

There's something not quite right with you TRC. Looks like some kind of aftermarket. Or maybe a new locking nut/tuners???

I think the TRC may have been refinished/restored.

Alright guys, here i smy 1984 Gibson V - i got this brand new and am the only owner. this is what I got for my 16th birthday instead of a driving! It's all original except for the bridge pup which is a Screamin' Demon and sounds great in this guitar! It will be with me forever, my Mom skimped and scraped to get this for me...my first Gibson and more important my first real guitar - it means the world to me!!

Check her out!

Thanks all!

Re: come on i wanna see those flying V's

RemCarr, that's a great story about your mom.
I was suppose to get an LP for my 16th birthday,
got a car instead. and I was PISSED!

I would have taken a beat-to-shit LP over the beat-to-shit 74 Chrysler Cordoba.

But they had the finest Corinthian leather interiors, according to Ricardo Montalban!

Re: come on i wanna see those flying V's

Here's my "slightly" modded '85 Flying V XPL (basically, that means it has an explorer headstock). I'm the original owner, and it was my first "real" guitar. My dad took me to a local music store the day after Christmas when I was 14 and let me pick out what I wanted. It originally had a Kahler (you can still see the gaping hole where it used to be).

Chalk up some of the "mods" to the stupidity of youth, but it sounds and plays fantastic now, even if she's not so pretty.

Re: come on i wanna see those flying V's

I just got Veronika a couple weeks ago and I couldn't possibly be happier. Seems to be the ideal Gibson for me. Sound, feel, neck profile, looks - it has it all. I always thought I was an LP man but I am starting to think differently now. I even started a Flying V social group: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/groups/169-mlp-vs.html

2008 - Cherry red with 496R/500T covered(custom) p'ups.

I sold this one last summer. It's a New Century V. I'm looking for a plain one these days.

A 2002 Custom Shop Limited Edition, 15 made in each of four different colors blue, green, gold and silver. I'd love to find any of the other three. When I received this I learned the true meaning of "baseball bat neck".
