would you trade...

a gibson es 335 dot /gloss for a used gibson les paul goldtop 57 reissue?

i have an r8, a 62 hot rod strat oly white and a 52 hot rod tele and the 335.

Playing being the same, the r7 goldtop is so similar to the 58.

No.The 335 is more versatile than the lester.So you would have less range of tones.

every one needs a 335 in the stable,

Spend some time playing one.They are great guitars.Totally different than a paul tonally and you actually get to play on the 21st fret.HotBrit hit the nail on the head by saying its a perfect partner to the les paul.
