The Capital One J45

Did they trash / break the neck off a perfectly good Gibson J45 in that commercial?

I wondered that too and watched carefully. When he's playing the guitar it has the crown and Gibson logo on the headstock. The broken guitar has neither. It looks like they broke a cheapie.

Re: The Capital One J45

Saw that commercial myself. They started with a Gibson, but the broken guitar is an Epiphone with the name blacked out. The Gibson is safe and sound.

Re: The Capital One J45

It's an Epi that gets broken. It has dots for inlays and it has the longer, Epi shaped head. The logo is taped off. The Gibby has a red tortoise shell-ish pickguard and the broken guitar has a black guard. The first time I saw the commercial, I totally thought the Gibson got broken. Even though it wasn't the Gibson, I still think it's stupid to break a perfectly fine guitar for a stunt.
