Re: Ngd!!
It's an Explorer Shred-x; aka 2008 guitar of the month. So comfortable to stand up and play. Balance is perfect. It seems heavy to hold in your hands, but on the strap it seems weightless. Reminds me of why I always loved Explorers. The feel and slickness of the ebony fretboard is spectacular.

Oh, i remember this guitar. Oh god...
![]() Does it stay in tune? It came stock with no locking nut and a Floyd right? Well let me fix myself...does it stay in tune with use of the Floyd?

Re: Ngd!!
Mine has a Schaller Tremolo with a limited range in comparison to a Floyd. Suprisingly, it stays in tune better than any non-double locking system I have used such as a Strat, the Grover Locking tuners must help. plus a well lubed nut. I get a minor change in the low e that I can tweak by ear. That is after a 2 hour marathon of Metal, however...

Re: Ngd!!
The key to this guitar staying in tune, as well as cheaper guitars like Epi; is to first tune it, then do extreme string bends, then tune it again. I don't know how many guitars I have bought for a pittance from craigslist because the original owner thought their guitar would not stay in tune; when all along , they just did not not know how to do it right. You have to drag ALL the slack through the nut.
