If the Les Paul Didn't Exist, Which Gibson Would You Play?
I'm not sure why I got curious about this, but I am. So---if the Les Paul didn't exist but you still love Gibson guitars, which Gibson would you play above and beyond any other model?
My own choice---a tossup between a good SG and an ES-335/345/355. What's yours?

Where's the "I wouldn't play any other Gibson"?
If there was no Les Paul, I'd be playing another brand.

An ES-339 or ES-359.

I want a 330 but voted for Byrdland because 330 isn't on the list and I want one of them too.

Re: If the Les Paul Didn't Exist, Which Gibson Would You Play?
Nice to see the Byrdland get a little love, but you probably should have voted "other Gibson." I haven't seen many 330s myself, in fact I've only ever seen one, so it didn't cross my mind to single that one out.

Re: If the Les Paul Didn't Exist, Which Gibson Would You Play?
Already have and love the SG. If I had to replace the LP, it would be with an ES-335...Hell, even with the Les Paul I'd still like to have an ES and a Firebird.

ES-335 all day. Natural finish please (in case you're updating my Christmas list - lol).

Re: If the Les Paul Didn't Exist, Which Gibson Would You Play?
Probably none of them. I might have a 335 if I got into more of a jazz situation but no reason for it right now and I'm not really a big fan of any other Gibsons as a whole.

Re: If the Les Paul Didn't Exist, Which Gibson Would You Play?
Well, given the Les Paul was the first Gibson solid body guitar - without it there'd be no SG, etc ... so I'd have to go ES-335. Although I do love SGs.

I'm an SG guy mostly anyway. But I like 'em all for one tone or another, it depends what I'm playing.
