. . .

idk.

i saw it, and now i feel molested.

In all seriousness, I think it has an identity issue.

Unique, yes. This looks as if you were mating dogs with cats. only like, guitars.

Its still there..........I really dig it. Very Unique. I wonder if it solves the headstock breakage issue? Surprised Someone like Rick Neilson hasn't snapped it up........

Thats a really good comparision! I guess on second thought....it does look kinda wrong. But I would think a collector would be all over it. Its been there for months so, not alot of people are getting it. Then again......Hardly no one bought a Flying V in 58' either did they?

Those RDs sure are cool.

But on a firebird, I'll stick to a firebird headstock. Those things look hellanice.

Re: One of a Kind Firebird at daves!!

They had a Killer Blowout on the RD's on Musicians Friend Stupid deal of the day about a month ago. I missed it by a few hours when they sold out. I think they were like $699 or something. get a set of used Boutique pickups and RS kit and for a little over $700 I bet it made a killer little axe.

Johnny Winter played a red 'Bird for a time with a LP headstock, although it was seen rarely. Probably reduces on the neck dive, but I don't believe it's worth it.

Re: One of a Kind Firebird at daves!!

I scored one of the blow out RD's from MF and I got to say they are real nice.
I think it's heavier than my 76 Deluxe.
The stock pups really sound good. If I keep it, I'll keep the stockers in there and maybe do the RS mod.
I allready bought an RS upgrade kit when they were on sale.
