Fake Epiphone gothic SG ?
Hey guys, whatsup, I`m about to buy me some SG from Epiphone, after searching for like 2 days on internet I found a deal where one guy who supposedly owns a bazar music store with used guitars, sells Epiphone Gothic SG for abou 110€. I was like mindblown at first but then I got suspicious, maybe it is fake, so I contacted him about it He said that he is selling it for quite some time and the price got down because "it is not popular model" (like really?). It is like new he says, has some pics of her, ima add
them ![]() ![]() Another problem is that I do not have any way to get to him, to see it in person since in is in other country, so he will be sending it by UPS I guess (at least I can check it if it is it before payment) So guys, what do you think, what should I ask him for? |

Re: Fake Epiphone gothic SG ?
Just like it would be useless to make a fake MIM Fender, it would be useless to make a fake Epiphone. As I've been told on this forum before, that's like making counterfeit $1 bills.
He's right in it's not a very popular model. But for the price, I say if you want it go for it.

Re: Fake Epiphone gothic SG ?
You can compare with rhe €piphone, looks ok for me but with Grover tuners the guitar is not well balanced and if have the money buy a Gibson SG Faded IMHO

Re: Fake Epiphone gothic SG ?
Sadly Have Fun, I do not have that kind of money to spend on a guitar, and I`m not any good at playing it either, just started learning with some cheap Strat like 5 months ago (such an old fart am I, and I just start learning how to play, but I guess it`s never too late, if you are having fun), for sure I want to improve and maybe later when I see that its going good way ima buy something of higher quality.
Thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure, I see theese for like 250€ new, 200€ used, so I guess I can`t go wrong with it, if I don`t like it I can still sell it for more than I bought it. |
