Re: Fake super 400?
Hmm. That headstock looks a little skinny. I wonder why he took the pictures so far away....
I'd ask for some better photos. Maybe with some close ups, we can decide for sure or not. |

Re: Fake super 400?
Nobody posts good pictures on CL because they're supposed to be local-only sales, the idea being that a couple pictures gets you interested and then you go check it out in person.

Re: Fake super 400?
No, that is a fake Super 400, one piece neck when it should be five (Three Flame Maple Two Mahogany/Rosewood/Walnut or something) and a plain back that should be heavily flamed. Burst on the neck looks wrong too. Headstock is correct actually. But, this is the Norlin period we're talking about, the one I know the least about, so if someone goes to check it out, check the neck and the back and sides, those pictures suck.
EDIT Also check the bindings, it should be 7 ply on the front, 3 on the f-holes, and I'm not sure on the back, but 3 or 5, and the neck should be multiple, not like a Les Paul Custom, and the headstock will be 7 or 5, but take that with a grain of salt, my forte is L-5s. |
