Pete Townshend SG

Hey I have a Pete Townshend Custom Shop SG 158 of 250 and I was wondering if there are any other owners. I heard Eddy Vedder has one but I have rarely seen another or heard much about them.

thats my Townshend infront, my Jimmy Page on the left, and my Epiphone Custom with a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge on the right.

Re: Pete Townshend SG

Why would the sell Pete Townshend guitars if they aren't broken?

Re: Pete Townshend SG

There are great guitars, I always wondered if there was a big difference between the custom nd the production, besides the Grovers I dont notice anything.

The custom shop doesn't come with Grovers? Or are they different? The production ones had Grovers.....

The pickups are mounted to the pickguard on the production and they are mounted to the body (like an R4 or R6) on the custom shop ones, which I never understood, since the real '60's Specials had them on the guard.

Awesome axes. Mine is definitely one of my favorites......

Oh the custom shop ones had worn grovers...woww the only difference is not flashy hardware what a sham, but I had a hunger for p-90's and an SG and that was the only one I don't regret it, sometimes.

Nothing to regret! The CS guitars are built to a higher standard of fit and finish than the production guitars, so I am sure that yours is a nicer guitar, and the limited production makes them a good investment...

I am HUGE Who fan, and mine just sort of fell into my lap. I lucked into mine when the used ones had pretty much bottomed out in price before they discontinued them. It was Kismet...... Awesome awesome axe and I will never part with it......

I'd still love to have one of the CS ones like yours.....

I'd love to have one of the LP Deluxes as well, but $4000 for an partially accurate Norlin copy was too much, so I bought a beautiful R9 instead......

That's a nice Page you've got too!!
