WOW!!! Sweet new Gibson Sig. Model!!!
Everyone, this new signature guitar should not be overlooked. Looks to be an awesome guitar. And an even better value. While I am not a Joan Jett fan at all (can't even beleive I am buying a signature guitar, not to mention from Joan Jett), I just can't get over this. I don't know when it's going to be available, but will most likely be in at about $600 or so, with HSC.

I saw that this morning (I get the Gibson e-mails) nice to see what JJ's guitar actually use to look like prior to being mobbed with sticker's

Not a big Melody Maker fan myself, but that's really a very nice
looking axe. dig the white w/black finish

Greg! Thanks for those pics man! That was a nice rack.......of dc melody makers! Awesome. Did you get your hands on any of those? I've never played a melody maker this style. How do you like em?

The pickup is called a Velvet Hammer made by Red Rhodes. Unfortunately, Red is no longer with us.

Thanks Inside Guy, cool info. I wonder how the BB3 stacks up to it on the sig model? Either way, I'd love to get one, that's one of the coolest sig model guitars anybody has made in a while!

The Velvet Hammer will walk all over the BB3. They should have put a double Creme Dirty Fingers in to get closer to the original pickup. Joan's guitar ROARS with that pickup.

BCR....you know we cant do Double Creme (maybe someday). BTW: Joan picked which pickup she wanted on her model. She had the final say.

I kinda figured that'd be the case. That's the kind of guitar I'd want to find a pickup that suited me best, tho! I'm going to seriously consider buying one, especially considering the price!

Haha oh yeah I forgot about that un-manly Tele'. So, these haven't shown up on online sources yet for sale, or future sale. I think I'm going to ask my local shop about ordering me one, and hopefully for what everyone else is charging (or less? maybe?). We'll see. If I have to take the MF leap of faith on this one, I will. Worst case scenario it needs a major set-up. There's not a whole lot on this cosmetically to go wrong. Oh yeah, I need to get some dough too. That's the hard part...............
