How to identify Guild SG?

I've acquired a Guild SG,and know nothing about it.
Not sure if maybe it was refinished at some point in the past-the serial number is hard to read.My guess is that it had a headstock repair job done on it at one time.
It is black, has 2 humbuckers, and an odd-looking tremelo/vibrato.The arm is very short, like it is just the base, and the rest of the arm is missing.
It has the word Guild and a logo in gold on the pickguard.
What is this thing-an S100 Polara or somesuch?

Gary C: Sounds like you are describing a 70's Guild S-100, like this one that is on Ebay currently:

Yeah, I've saw one of these a few years ago. It looked real neat. I think the official model is "S-100 SC"
