Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

You guys see the newest one up there? Doesn't name any names, but supposedly built by someone famous in Hollywood in the 80's, with help from other masters. Built for a friend of Slash. Also mentions that Foote reshaped the neck. So, is this a Max/Derrig/Roman/Foote model? If so, it's awfully damn cheap; starting bid 4,500. Fortunately, we can get the story from some of the guys on this board!! Let's get it rolling boys!!

Re: Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

It's back up; the guy changed the description that mentioned Slash, Foote, etc, but it's the same guitar. Item number 330205491996. This is the guitar I was talking about when I posted this thread.

Re: Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

I have played that guitar before, It has a multitude of great tones. As a matter of fact, it sounds exactly like whatever record or CD or tape you put on and the neat thing is, when you play leads it actually helps you play it note for note and again the tone is scary it is so close to the original. Oh and it morphs into whatever guitar the original on the record is. This is one bad ass guitar, I think i'm gonna top my bid out at 1 million, hope I dont get outbid

I put it back up. Pleased to meet all of you!

Item number: 260206252422

Thank You For Looking. The starting number was way far below what I wanted for it. The price is ridiculously low for what it is. I need the money. Building a very large house.

For some reason it is not showing up in searches. I hope ebay is not singling me out for selling a Burst Replica. Look at the Max on there and look at this one. The Max shows up in searches. Strange. It may get pulled again. I don't know. I tried to be very careful about the words I used.

The only guitar i would pay $12,000 for would have to be
Jimmy Page's own sunburst he used back in the 70's.

That's cause you never played this one.

Jimmy Page's own Burst for 12k? That would be a long line. Maybe 500k to a million. So, in comparison a guitar like this isn't that expensive. What am I saying??? 12k is a lot of money!!!! But it is a lot of guitar, so...

Re: Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

Apparently, the Buy It Now on this guitar was from a dead beat bidder. This magical guitar is back on the 'bay.

It was from a scammer, who wanted your name and address to make his phishing scams more credible.....happens to me from time to time.

Re: Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

I wanted to thank everyone here for being so cool. There are two guys who claim to want to buy this guitar in the next few days, so hopefully it will find the right home. I look forward to coming here more often. Everyone here is so much cooler than the LPF people. Finally a place to talk Les Pauls!!! Thanks Again!!

Re: Another Replica Up On The 'Bay

please notice the depth in the finish and the richness in the grain of the wood. Look at the close up of the first fret, see the lines in the brazilian that only that old wood has. the correct dish s(see that pic)... The flecks in the top... The inlays have shrunken since they are correct and over 20 years old. This is the closest to a real burst I have ever seen. Thank You for looking!
