Just a heads up.
1980 Gibson Les Paul DELUXE Vintage USA Electric Guitar on eBay, also Gibson, Electric, Guitars, Musical Instruments (end time 07-Mar-09 12:00:30 GMT)
If he sells this for the asking price he will have made £595 profit. ![]() I know becauase i sold it to him earlier this week. ![]() I would never have had the balls to put it at this price. ![]() Ok you may say its fair enough, and it is and i'll tip my hat to him if he sells it this high. ![]() I just have a little sick feeling in my gut because as an unemployed man i drove for an hour to deliver this to him for less than the asking price in dangerous weather because i needed the money. ![]() Yeah, i know, Wah Wah Wah. Its not worth this price, i know that much.

Re: Just a heads up.
I know what you mean... it's kind of a weird feeling when someone resells something they bought from you right away. Especially when they acted really excited to get the shit in the first place... some people are weird and just can't make their minds up about anything. Or they just screwed with you to get a good price and make some money.

Re: Just a heads up.
3 projects I sold went up for sale in the past month. One guy had the nerve to use all my text and pictures on the eBay page. What made it worse is he added crap about Max this and better than Max that. I would never say anything like that. What really sucked about it the most was that he got somebody to give him $500.00 more than he paid for it. He wanted 8 more projects from me, ha, what he did was perfectly legal but he is still on my banned bidders list.
But aside from that, sorry to hear you had to part with it. |

Re: Just a heads up.
That is the point of Ebay, to buy low and sell high.

Re: Just a heads up.
It IS against Ebay policy for someone to use someone else's pictures and/or text however.

Re: Just a heads up.
I feel for you, man. It sucks to see that happen...
But, I have to say that I bought my R8 off of this seller (David), I met with him and found him to be a helpful and nice guy. Not taking sides or anything, just saying it how I found it during my experience with him as a seller. Incidentally, I guess he bought it from you under a different ebay id? If not, buyers should be able to see the previous transaction on his feedback. That kind of behaviour is common among ebay sellers, and sometimes frowned upon by buyers. |

Re: Just a heads up.
I agree with you guys, I've not actually anything against him at all.
Like Jimmyq said he is a nice guy. The thing is i bought the guitar off of another ebay seller about a year ago for around £800, kept it a year, put it in the 'Freeads' for £850 and thats where David stepped in. It was my choice to price it how i did but i cant help that sinking feeling that someone who isn't quite as clued up as most of the people on here will pay the premium for it. Thats good for David, fair play for going for it. Maybe i'm just too honest or know too much? Its just my pride hurting really. the nagging voice in the back of my head saying 'You should have put it up for more you prick!'
