player '69 BB...

...despite a few issues, pricewise this is a pretty good deal,ESPECIALLY if that case has the marigold interior and isn't in a really "pooched" condition.
I would take this one in a heartbeat over a brand new Historic BB.

Has that "Great Player" look IMO...

1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom RARE No Volute - eBay (item 130266217455 end time Nov-08-08 08:34:17 PST)

I'll bet an offer of $3,600 would take it

Re: player '69 BB...

Does seem to have the goods. But I'm a bit cheap these days and would only pay $2,500.00 for it. No sense even bothering the guy with that figure.
It reminds me of my '68, but my headstock and finish in general was much better.

I saw that guitar too. I found it to be quite tempting.

Re: player '69 BB...

Still active at $3k BO.

Great price for this BB IMO.

I just played a '69 BB yesterday that is in far worse condition than this '69 BB.
Asking price for the one I checked out $8000.00!

Re: player '69 BB...

No, it ended and the best offer was 3k. So it did not sell at $3,800.00 US.
Market is a bit soft. People will pay well for ones in better shape though, but the one's I see are in the 18-19K region.

Re: player '69 BB...

is it just me or were the strings way cocked over to the bass side. look at the pics of the back of the neck, you can see where the head leans towards the bass side. stable... maybe. straight, no.

Re: player '69 BB...

That was a great F'n deal at $3k for a one piece body / one piece neck / long tenon '69 - even w/ the headstock repair.

Now is the time to BUY! I couldn't have swung it, but damn - there are some good deals to be had lately!

Amazing...
