Hey guys,
I've still been looking for a new guitar for a good price, as I'm tight on cash.

I came across this one, for $600AUD.

Epiphone Les Paul Custom With Free Hard Case - eBay, Electric, Guitars, Musical Instruments. (end time 10-Sep-08 16:13:24 AEST)

Is it real or fake?
I can get him to take more photos if you all need it.

I'm gonna go with fake.
The b string tuner is to close to the diamond inlay, also the knobs dont look that great.

Try to ask him for more pics.

He answered back to my questions.
And he will be sending a clear photo of the headstock and the body and sending it to me tomorrow.

to get info on when and where it was manufactured

Where did you buy it from? Mega Music Perth

How much have you used it? I used it for about a year and a half until i bought another one. Has been sitting around in its case since then.

Anything else you want to know feel free to ask

The diamond is the only thing that I see that's messed up but that could be quality control. I'm gonna say real, but I gotta ask, $600!! Are they that expensive there? You can get a brand new one for that here.

I've seen uneven diamond inlays on Epiphone Customs before. I think that's the real deal IMO.

How do you think it'd sound?
It's 3 years old, and made in Korea (are the Korean ones better?).

I'm really thinking of getting it, because it's a good price for a Les Paul Custom.
Are they quality guitars for the price you pay?

I'm short on cash at the moment, but really in need for a new guitar as I have a crappy epiphone les paul 100 at the moment.

What can be done to this model to make them sound better?

All help is appreciated.

"U" serial numbers are almost always legit, its the "EE" ones that tend to have trouble.

Oh it's legit, I already approved it for another member once before. If you have further questions post it in the fake epiphone thread, its stickied in the epiphone section.

even well known music shops sell fakes. I still don't understand that tho...

I have listed so many les paul customs, and all of them were said to be fake.
This is the first one that is said to be real, and I heard that the Korean ones are better, so I'm going to trust you guys here and try and win it.

Bro, you've had two or three of the best counterfeit spotters say it's legit (not that I'm one). I'd say your pretty safe. Some of the people here take great pride in preventing counterfeiters from being sold as the real deal.
