I HAVE for a set of mid 1960 double rings...and if that set was a little cleaner I would buy those as well...

It's a buyers market - try finding a complete set for less. That's a reasonable price imo.
I paid about that for my set too (mine are ex++/near mint condition) - and they live on my 1960 R0...

Re: Would you pay 1,000$ or more for 60s era klusons tuners?

...IMO the price on the auction set isn't that reasonable at all,and I've seen a couple of new in box sets go for over $2k...

however clean original sets are getting scarcer to come by and if you want/need a set you will have to pay the bucks.

Your GT Deluxe reads "Gibson Deluxe" on two lines vs these read "Kluson Deluxe" on one line (amongst other differences)

You guys ripping the prices on vintage parts....

Do any of you have real guitars? Not Epiphones, but genuine vintage guitars. If not, you can't really understand the concept of buying correct RARE parts for a guitar that need them.

Don't make yourselves look foolish by commenting on that which you know nothing about.

Re: Would you pay 1,000$ or more for 60s era klusons tuners?

What is the going rate for the 1965-69 "version 7" Kluson, double ring/double line tuners, in very good condition?
I have a set, and I was thinking of listing them on this board?
I will take some photos, if anyone is interested.

Thanks,
Ace

$150 to $250, though some would pay more for VERY CLEAN ones.

If you look around more you can find a better deal on 60's era klusons under 600. 1200 is a bit much for em, and yes they have come my way before.
