Here it is, the very definition of a mistake:

Gibson Custom Shop SLASH VOS - eBay (item 180269451660 end time Jul-31-08 13:47:28 PDT)

Edit: Oops should have said VOS; that's how upset I am.

yes...I am an idiot. but you saw the 56 goldtop vos that is replacing it. i will post pics and let the rest of the forum be the judge...and the 72 LP custom that is en route as well.

first off, the 56 or 57 goldtop is TWICE the guitar for almost half the price. I just dont get these slash vos guitars, I dont see the big deal to justify the price. 3850 is a lot of money for a 3 piece plain top.

There are some much tastier LP's for less coin. Personally I'm not really into this abused look. I love my gats and try to keep them looking primo. Just my thoughts tho..

I can't swing it right now. The "private account" is all I have as far as guitars go. My wife doesn't know how much any of my guitars cost. So unless he wants like $1500 I'm out of luck.

You are right about the price. I have/had both Slash's...the slash standard neck is too thin for me. This VOS is extremely nice..neck is perfect for me and the sound is excellent. the body...a little boring. I had an r8 that couldn't hold up to the VOS at all so it got returned. The vos is over priced about a grand and that is why it is getting sold.

I did just get a 56 goldtop vos with p90's and it is damn nice...not twice as nice though. if the slash vos weren't taking up so much of my guitar money I would keep it.

Has anyone got or seen one of the first 100 that were pre aged? they did them just like his with the cigarette burn included. they'd be worth the money i reckon.
