It seems more often than not that when I see an image of a 1980 LP, it's in absolutely stunning condition

It's actually becoming my favorite. I bought it having seen only a poor quality pic in an ad, thinking that it had to be in rough shape due to the price ($1299). I had planned to give a beat up guitar a little TLC. I was shocked when I opened the case and found a nice guitar. All I've had to do is replace the missing toggle cap. I knew that the tuners had been changed out for Grovers, but I didn't expect a DiMarzio SD in the bridge position (I'm guessing that's not stock). Overall, I'm very happy with this guitar. I haven't weighed it, but it's roughly the same as my ZW Bullseye. Heavy, but not ridiculously so.
