Norlin era les pauls vs. yamaha SG/SG2000

Tried searching but no real results. Has anyone had some experience with both of these 70s era guitars? I have a couple Norlins, but one is an unfinished project '76 Deluxe and the other is a special '74 77-55 with a wraparound which I feel is kinda in it's own zone. Almost bought a Yamaha neck-through gold top model a long time ago and am considering one again or an early small peghead deluxe.
