Had a jam session with some buds last night....

... and one of my pals (Bill) brought over a guest (a bass player).... Anywhoo we proceeded to tune up and do a warm-up tune (It's Late by Queen), and I pulled out my white 1980 LPC. The guest bass player wanted to look more closely at my guitar, so he sat down on the couch and was inspecting the guitar..... and I mean he was taking it apart with his eyes

Then he asks me for a screwdriver..... I'm like ....... He wanted to see the electronic cavities, so I remove the cavity plates and continue to let him do his inspection.....

Well he hands me back my guitar and tells me it's a Burny modified to look like a Gibson Les Paul...... The room went very quit. So I asked him why he thought this? And he stated the headstock logo is wrong and out of place, and the strap buttons are Burny types

My pal Bill is a bit embarrassed, since we've been jamming since the age of 10 told our guest just to stick to bass playing

I truly wasn't offended, but I think I was being set-up for a cheap offer for my guitar based on the non-authenticity inspection from Peter the bass player.

Anywhoo, Peter turned out to be a great player and back-up singer, and will be welcomed back
