My first post. I have one more question. With my guitar.

I have a question Fingerboard Rosewood used on 1977 LPS. We will know whether it is the kind of Rosewood. I apologize if the question is ridiculous. But a friend asked me and I can not answer this question. We need to get help from friends in hope.

I'm not good at English. I'm sorry if the language confusing.

Re: My first post. I have one more question. With my guitar.

You're welcome. Gibson stopped using Brazilian rosewood regularly in the 1960s. They occasionally put it on limited-edition guitars, but I'm pretty sure yours is Indian.

It's a pretty guit you've got there.

Very nice LP sryche and welcome to the MLPF!

P.S.

Thump knows what he's talking about, so you can be pretty confident that he's right.

Awesome guitar. I love the modern Les Pauls that make such a statement with their top. They may never have the cache' a '59 Burst has, but what does? They have their own mojo that I very much appreciate..

Re: My first post. I have one more question. With my guitar.

Hi Everyone in thread. I just know it started MLPF I find information about the 1977 les paul standard guitar before I bought it. 1977 this is not my first les paul, I can say that among the people I know. No one ever talks about norlin era because they had no knowledge about the history of it. They just do not sound it is. Been damaged or not. What has changed a bit. I do wonder a little about me and my friends did not recognize. And I hope that everyone in this story I would recommend that I do not know.

I'm a big fan of the Norlin Era Les Paul and love the dry tone I get through a JCM800 with one's I have played. It was good enough for Randy Rhoads and Pete Townsend; it's good enough for me. I'm looking for the right guitar and deal, but for now the closest I can get to that tone is my elitist...Show us a pic of the back, especially the neck and headstock, please..

Hey sryche, HB's another guy that knows of what he speaks as well and Rob seems like an all-around good guy. You'll learn a lot from them.

Hot-Brit is a walking encyclopedia of Norlin knowledge. I'm just a hack as far as that goes. Progrocker111 knows his shit, too.

I just sit and listen when they talk Norlin lore, because I know I'm gonna learn something.
