Re: Who is your Norlin hero?
I canīt say I consider one particular Norlin era Les Paulplayer as a hero to me, but...all the people on this websight that love and appreciate their Pauls and share their knowledge to others - those guys are all the true heroes to me.

Re: Who is your Norlin hero?
I think my first Norlin hero was Randy Rhoads.
But it wasn't until I saw some early 90's videos of Soundgarden playing that I really felt the desire to get a Silverburst. A lot of people tend to get into the Silverburst because they like Adam Jones from Tool but it was really Chris Cornell who moved me to track one down. And that was it for me!

Re: Who is your Norlin hero?
That's funny... I remember reading an interview some time ago, where the band (James, Kirk, or both) said that they were Epiphones with Gibson Trussrod covers, and 'cause they were cheap guitars, and is what they could afford at the time.
Maybe Norlin era Epis? |

This one ![]() But if I remember right most of his Les Pauls are Norlins. I know the Iron Cross is a '74 and I'm wanting to say the Cliff one and the purple satin one are too. And Kirk's V was actually a Gibson. |

Re: Who is your Norlin hero?
I always liked the way Phil Manzanera played in Roxy Music. He used Gibson Firebirds; I'm not sure if they were from the 1960s or 1970s. His style was unique.
