Re: pawar guitars
I have one. It seems like it would be perfect as a recording studio guitar.
I took it on a trade and it is too much guitar for me at my level. Last edited by delander; 11-08-2009 at 09:26 AM. Reason: spelling mistake corrected |

Re: pawar guitars
In my opinion.... it looks like a mandolin maker decided to make a guitar.. Nothing really innovative or original about morphing a PRS and a Mandolin....
However, the wood looks nice, the finish looks good, and i've always liked plain fretboards.. but i've not played one, so commenting ont he instrument quality i will reserve for those who have them

Re: pawar guitars
This part of the add interest me: "The sound of this guitar is just incredible! The specially designed Seymour Duncan pickups foster what is called The Pawar Positive Tone System (trade mark) and features a 5-position toggle switch with two push/pull knobs.
There are five "zones" that come from the toggle switch position. There are the Lead zone, Twang zone, Dual zone, California zone and the Rhythm zone. With a combination of the push/pull knobs the guitar has 20 different tones that are highly useful and covers most single and dual coiled sounds plus some that don't really exist in the repertory of standard sounds."

Re: pawar guitars
what I said - "would probably be perfect for a recording studio guitar"
pulling and pushing does indeed give a variety of different tones !! feels decent, plays easily |

Re: pawar guitars
I actually know the builder. He does most all of my fretwork and repairs.
The scroll is sort of a hit or miss thing with most people, but he also has a double-cut model which is really sweet. His pickup system is pretty clever and extremely versatile and sounds really good. I was shocked upon meeting him for the first time and playing one. He's about as easy going as anyone you'd ever meet. He's actually a big LP fanatic, as well. Every time I go over to his place, he has 4 or 5 new guitars hanging there in various stages, and we get to talking about cool ideas he has for the next couple. I keep trying to get him to make me a strat pickguard with his pickup system in it, but he says he'd have to route my "bathtub" cavity deeper. I say "ok" and he always tells me that he'll do it when he gets a few customer guitars off his table. This has been 5 years now.
