Just found an old Gem....Need help

Hi Guys,
Greetings to all. I've been lurking for long but nvr been active yet. Need some help now

Just recently got this very old guitar from a local fellow forumer. Anyone knows what guitar is this? No serial number/decals/logos/whatever. The only clue is a 3D decal states "Gem Electronics" on the pickguard...

The guitar is totally not working now. I'm planning to send it to shop to do complete wiring overhaul.

The knobs layout still puzzle me tho....it has 2 switch, 1 switch(might be pickup selector), 1 tone knob, 1 volume knob

Anyone knows what all these?

Most likely Japanese, from the 60s and made in the Fujigen Gakki, Matsumoku, or Aria plant. My first electric was a Maxitone that was very similar looking.

Thanks for the info. Great to know if it's Japanese...I was told that it made of solid mahogany body also
