Did I Get A Good Deal On A Warmoth Strat?

I checked everything and it is 100% Warmoth.

I bought it for $300.

Basswood Body
Ebony Fretboard
Ash neck
Floyd Rose
Dimarzio PAF Pro, Dimarzio HS-1, Fender Lace Sensor Red
Gotoh Tuners

The guy gave me a free Fender Hardshell case that came with some accesories and he also gave me a book and a few DVDs with the guitar. I think I got a pretty good deal. The Floyd Rose itself is around $200 and I wanted something with a Baswood body.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Actually, for $300 and all of those parts w/ the hardshell case you got a fantastic deal. I'd love to see some pics when you get 'em.

You got a great deal...especially with the case thrown in.

Worst case scenario, you could part it out on ebay and make a very nice profit.

I wouldn't want to sell it but I know I could sell it for more than I payed for.

I have little space on my computer and I am having problems downloading the pics. I am now deleting some stuff so I can free up the space.

Re: Did I Get A Good Deal On A Warmoth Strat?

How do you like the Warmoth neck?

I have an older Warmoth maple neck on my Tele. I think it's the standard thin profile, but I'm not sure as there are no markings. It has to be the nicest Fender style neck I've played (fender included)! I'm thinking of picking one up for my strat build this winter. Still tossing around the idea of Warmoth vs. Fender. Was wondering if the newer ones were consistently as good quality as the older one I've got.

The neck feels great and compared to the other Fender neck, I think it is just as comfortable if not better. If am gonna buy a new neck for my other Fender body and it is definetely going to be Warmoth. You can't go wrong.

Go the Warmoth.com and check out the gallery. The necks look incrdible. I also like the looks of the blank headstock.

Sounds like a good deal! Hope you enjoy it.

As far as your computer, CCleaner can help by cleaning out a lot of the crap in there. (That's what the first C stands for.) go to FileHippo.com for the download. Can't wait for the pics!

Re: Did I Get A Good Deal On A Warmoth Strat?

Of course it is a great deal. Price it at warmoth and you know it.

I want to check out their parts because I have heard good and bad, mainly good.

Although sometimes I think they are outrageous. They want 1000 for a LP style body, granted it looks good but this is body without neck and when you are finished you are bolting on a neck.

I would go with mostly everything from Warmoth except the LP style model.

Warmoth is great. Imagine Fender selling just guitar parts. Warmoth has the same quality or better than Fender and you don't have to pay as much.

Don't get your hopes up. It is not a beautiful guitar or anything. It is simple and great sounding. The only thing I am replacing is the pickguard.

I am not gonna mod much. I don't know what pots or caps are in the guitar but it sounds good. The pickups are great and I will be changing the pickguard. I am also going to install strap locks.

Read Lace Sensors are hard to find?

Re: Did I Get A Good Deal On A Warmoth Strat?

Well, you can't buy a body and neck with those specs for under $400 from them, so yeah, good deal. Are you sure the neck is ash, tho? odd neck wood choice.

NOW WHERE ARE THE FRAKKIN' PICS?!!

Sounds like a great deal... the trem alone is more than 50% of the price you paid... ad those pickups and you got the wood for free

Re: Did I Get A Good Deal On A Warmoth Strat?

Yup. Great deal!

I really like the Warmoth boatneck I put on my Telecaster about 6 months ago. I had them put stainless steel frets on it and am in love with those too.

They tend to be a little pricey, but I'm a believer in Warmoth.
