do gorden smith guitars match up to gibson

Hi, thing is, im gassing for another les paul but here in the uk they are so expensive. What do you guys think of gordon smith guitars,thing is i used to have a couple ,but i still went out and bought a les paul,so im not so sure a g.s will cure my gas .Do you think they are as good a gibson i quality,I suspect they do but they don't have the same mojo and can be "plain janes"

They're excellent quality, just about as good as anything I've played and at £400 an absolute steal. Admittedly mine is plain to look at but that doesn't matter when it's cranked up.

Sounds quite like an SG.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do without all the frills.
