1992 Peavey Foundation Bass Rewire And Set-up

I just finished the set-up and rewire of my 1992 Foundation Bass. I wasn't real happy with the pots or cap so I replaced them with Bourns Military Spec 250K Audio Taper pots and a vintage .022 Bumblebee cap from an old Hammond organ.

I decided to go with Rotosound Flatwound strings (.045s). I was able to drop the action considerable after I set the neck relief. I also set the intonation.

This bass is very smooth and more dynamic than it was before I began my project this morning. The cap sounds very good compared to the old cap.

Here are some pics of the old wiring, new wiring, headstock and body.

Another under rated (new)Peavey is the new 335 styled guitar ,I believe it is the Jazz fusion model , only with the bigsby on it, .

These are really underrated bass guitars, like you said. This thing really plays well and has good tone. It's didn't cost that much to upgrade.

This was Peavey's answer to the Fender Precision bass. American made, too. CNC machined for precision joints. Thanks Mark (Deftone) for the great deal.
