PRS serial & production numbers
The serial number of my 513 is 0915097x.
Unless I'm mistaken, that's about the 151,000th set neck PRS made in 2009. Does anybody find that number to be a little high? I just saw an inverview with Paul and in it he said PRS is a company of about 185 people. 185 people producing 150,000 + guitars a year? Plus, it's only October!! No wonder new guitars never go up in value, Geez!! Also, makes you wonder how many guitars Gibson & Fender produce each year?

Re: PRS serial & production numbers
Tim,
itīs not the 151000th guitar in 2009 - itīs the 151000th set neck guitar EVER to come out of the PRS shop. The series of numbers that follow the year prefix is the sequential number of guitars produced to that date. |
