i prefer the flying V

Explorer is cool, a friend of mine has one in Korina.
I've played it at a couple gigs.

I had a '58 V reissue that was just easier to handle for me.
Upper fret access is second to none.

Neither one really turn me on playing-wise, but they're cool none the less.

Being a longtime fan of Albert King, I had to pick the V ,first with GOOD pickups and good Limba wood, a V can be so magic I have had an Explorer, but was Mahogany not Korina I loved the balance of it and the way it played and sounded , one of my buddies told me it wasnt a blues guitar, I laughed and said " you never seen Clapton with his" then later I saw and jammed with Lousiana Guitar Red, who had and was playing one that had St Andrews Cross , over the top very difficult choice but since I could chose both, no loss but first nod goes to the V

the futura's kinda like a combination of both the explorer and the V..

so if ya can't decide between explorer and flying V, choose the one in the middle.. FUTURA!

Korina Les, Yes, I believe I have seen at least one Korina SG before . I have Never seen yet or heard of any Korina ES models though or a Firebird in Korina, but I wouldnt doubt if Gibson had tried it somewhere

That's such a tough question. My first instinct was the V. Then I remembered that I don't like playing them sitting down. Then I said the Explorer, but then I remembered how cool the V is Standing Up.

It's too hard to chose. I've got to say both!!!!
