Look who came back home last night!

Hi everyone, about 5 years ago i had purchased my 1st electric guitar. I gave it away to a friend about 3 years ago and now it came back home!!!

the pickups on this thing are just amazing, they sound incredibly clean through my peavey classic 20 and it loves overdrive!, i appreciate the details alot more now since i know what to look for.

Enjoy! Dan Electro 56-U2 RI
i know the guitar is dusty and dirty, i think i like it that way

Re: Look who came back home last night!

Nice! I've always wondered how a Danelectro plays - I'm not a fan of their effects pedals but some of their guitars look interesting.

Those are really funky neck joints and control cavity covers. Guess that shouldn't surprise me since it is a Danelectro, after all.

I'm not familiar with Danelectro but I'm curious if you know what year that model is?

Re: Look who came back home last night!

That thing looks pretty cool, the knobs look badass in a different sort of way- they're unique for a lack of a better term. Glad you enjoy it!

Re: Look who came back home last night!

Neat little guitar. A friend of mine got one once because Page had played them. I tried to play it, but I just didn't like the feel. Felt like I was playing a toy.

Re: Look who came back home last night!

The higher-quality production of Danelectros would be Jerry Jones guitars. The current Dano line (if they are not discontinued) is supposed to be somewhat "cheap." But don't ever let the materials, name brand, etc. sway your judgment until you play one or any guitar for that matter.

Re: Look who came back home last night!

My bro used a newer Dano Hodad as his stage bass for a while. Though it looked awesome and sounded great it kinda disintegrated after about 50 shows.
If you're not going to abuse it, a new Dano is fine. The older ones are cool but are $$.

Re: Look who came back home last night!

There's a older one in a small shop by me,If I remember right it was under $200.00. I sorta laughed at it as my name is Dan. Are they very collectable and have a following and demand?
