Re: Padauk/Ebony EvH Style San Dimas Project
Nice one bro, that looks great. What pu's did you install and are they mounted direct to body? How does the guitar sound? Ebony fretboard? What frets did you go for? I want to build a project like that one day, not sure about the Floyd Rose though, might go for a traditional trem style.
Thanks ;-) |

I used a Seymour Duncan '59 (direct mounted). It compliments the padauk very nicely. Ebony fretboard with medium/jumbo frets. I also added a brass big block to the floyd. The guitar weighs a hefty 9.5 lbs., but has great tone and sustain. Thanks for looking.

VERY beautyful guitar man!
I like the way you kept it simple, brings out a lot of elegance in the instrument. Another example of how less is sometimes really much much more. Congrats, amazing job!

Re: Padauk/Ebony EvH Style San Dimas Project
Very nice. I love padouk guitar. Ever play the real Nuno Padouk Washburns?
I so badly want G&L to build me a padouk/padouk/ebony Asat, but I'm totaly dreaming unless I can come up with enough money or people to do a limeted run of 25 guitars. So figure $25,000-30,000 up front. |

Thanks guys!
![]() I'm not big on gold hardware either, but I thought it would go really well with the padauk and the ebony neck.
