OFFICIAL MEET: Summer Philly Guitar Show MEMBERS MEET ~ JUNE 23 & 24, 2012

Although the crowd was smaller on Sunday, it certainly wasn’t because of lack of effort.
Once again, the MyLesPaul Forum Booth was four tables filled to capacity because of
the generosity of the Members, and the outstanding effort of Leo (Floyd84). Thank you!

...is that it looks like this now. Eric sold me the knobs, for my 52 Eric is an extremely knowledgable and passionate collector and vendor. I am extremely thankful to him for helping me find such an obscure item for my vintage beauty

I have to say that the ReWind booth was one of the nicest at the show, in my opinion; the presentation, from the business cards to the pamphlets to the tone machines was just excellent! Not to mention how killer those P-94 style pickups (along with the PAF set I tried) sounded!

If I ever feel compelled to swap pickups sometime, I know where I'm going.

James did have a killer looking booth. He also had a bowl of candy, which I ate most of it.

Here's some highlights from the show.

I showed up before anyone on Friday and had to haul all these beauties in


But, I set up my stuff fairly quickly. That's when I realized, we're going to need more tables


Bill had his sweet 64 SG and Matt had his made-over R7 sitting pretty in my Stinger case


The best roadie on the planet, CJ, watching over the test amps


Here's sober Bill on Saturday, winding up some sweet 52 Tele pickups, no doubt


The show had barely started, and what do I do? I buy a five latch Cali Girl Burst case for my "PhillyBurst"


Artie was safely barricaded behind a stockade fence made up of Les Pauls


This was one of my favorites at the show. A 57 Les Paul that was "Bursted" by Gibson in 1959. It was at Dan's booth from Oklahoma


I made some signs at the business center in the hotel I stayed at, with descriptions of my guitars


Somewhere under Sam's cap, is a bald spot screaming to be let out


We had a bevy of rare Epiphone Genesis guitars

Bill's booth was busy with folks trying out all his winds



I was crazy about this blinged out Custom Shop Metalflake Les Paul and it's matching SG Custom

Bob Davenport working on my 03 Classic. He installed a Set of Jimmy Wallace PAFs that I bought at the last show and a MSSC premium wiring kit with some 50's Bumblebees



The HillBillyBurst made an appearance


I bought this three pickup Classic from Ray and Lee of Grinning Elk. Those two are great vendors and supporters of MLP



I also bought this 71 Deluxe


We were the only booth, with their own Bose L1, pumping out Zeppelin and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers

I hung out with a bunch of degenerate guitar slingers at this place. Matt and Dave from MSSC, Dr. Bob Davenport(proctologist), Bill and his son from ECP, and the Grinning Elk boys, Ray and Lee. Sooooooooooooonnn, let me tell you sumthin....... lol
