Re: UK Meet 2012

Me and the GF got our accommodation booked for the meet!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and nerding out on guitars over a few sherbets.

See you there!

Yes I will. But I think some think that with the rhythm section being so bloody good, they just need to call out the numbers and they will be able to play them.

Re: UK Meet 2012

Beware Vasco..
On Saturday night we are introducing young talent..

I have a few who would like to have a go at soloing amongst others...

The rhythm section and I will hold down Shakey ground while the likes of Colonel Rompidonk.. Swerving Mervyn and Pequod Quady Quacker will all take solos.. If you can hack it, I'll let you take 48 bars.. Are you game?

The key is Em so you can stay round the open position if things get too smokin' for you.

I'll just hold the groove for others to solo and wont take any solos myself so you'll be able to go for it without standing there in fear with your mouth wide open.. and watch out for young Quady Quacker, he's got some moves that may unnerve you.
Watch those tone bends dont get out of hand though..Perhaps try stepping up to a set of chipolata slicing 10-46's.

Might get Mutter or my daughter to sing it..

Beware the plinky plonky Telequacker my son, but I'm sure you'll show us how it's done on your lefty Lester.

Take a close look at the backline amps.. All dreaded F******'s . Not a 'Messy Budgie' in sight.

single cut 54 and sliding tom like this.

Bring guitars and stompboxes. Not amps, as there is not enough room for shitloads. Three backline amps will be provided for guitars, along with the bass player bringing his, of course.
