"Ah, the rigid dogma of "free thinkers". In order to join their club, you must accept the restriction that you will never be free to believe in the God of the Bible."

I do not think that is true at all. What about Søren Kierkegaard? As a yang to the ying, look at the transformation that Malcolm X underwent. I do believe that many people have suffered emotional damage from certain elements from certain dogmatic religiousness. I also think that until a person heals they could have a conditioned response to religion and that could be a part of what you have noticed. Then again those are just my thoughts.

I don't do rewinds on humbuckers because the materials are a big part of the sound and I'd have to replace pretty much everything but the bobbins and the baseplate and thus charge you only a few nickels less than a new pickup.

But if you want me to make you some new ones, let's talk. You could sell the 57's and defray the cost some that way...

Been on a Fuzz kick lately and have been listening to a lot of "Black Keys" so this is one of the pedals I have been trying out and thought I would do a quick demo. It's an Electro Harmonix Little Muff made in NYC U.S.A. I am using my Red Esquire with a Zhangbucker 9.5K single coil pu in the bridge, into my Peavey Windsor Studio Amp with EL34 and 12 ax7's

Just sharin' the Varitone love? Had one on my Lucille but I didn't like it much. Maybe I'd like one now, tastes change...
