I love the way you can realy wale on full chords with the strat and it maintains its clarity. Whereas my LP and SG get real muddy when I try that I have to strum alot lighter.

excuse my ignorance but when you say lower out put do you mean louder than the DD's or they put out less volume. I feel like the DD's are kinda weak. I am used to humbuckers though and its been a while sence I played through single coils so they might be pretty hot. The guitar sounds and play great I forgot how much fun it is to play a strat. The bell tones are beautiful and I love the slinky feel of the string tension. My LP and SG feel like a much higher string tension even though they are all tuned to 440 pitch. Im going for a tele next I finaly played one and I love the tone. I completly retract any bad statement I have ever made about fenders.

I thought about the block after reading some reviews. does it make much diffrence to the tone. How much of a diffrence is there in the pickups vs the classic vibe. I know the 50s and 60s have diffrent pickups but are they hotter or what.

Hey yogi whats up man. I recently aquired a vintage modified strat its cherry sunburst with the flame top. It has duncan desigin pickups. I lowered the action and set the intonation and it play realy nice. My question is what do you think about these squires vs the classic vibe. I got this guitar for $200 bucks brand new from a small music store. The pickups are suppose to be Alnico5. Any info ou have for me and suggestions on mking this a little bit better will be nice.

Okay, thanks again for the info. I'll do some investigating, I'm sure I can figure out where it is and what to replace it with. I miss my verb, especially for clean.

Thanks a ton, I'll give that a shot... I don't know much about electronics, is it something that is readily available from Radio Shack or some place like that?

Hey man, you said you had some issues with the reverb on your C50 when you got it, right? And it was a IC that was bad?

I'm just curious because I've been having issues with the verb on my C30. It doesn't seem to do much at all until you crank it up to 4-5. And if you go beyond that, it gets ugly. It starts making a "womp" sound which starts feeding back faster and faster... One time I let it go too far and it made a loud POP! And I lost my reverb completely. I ended up having to replace a couple of tubes... v2 preamp and v4 (first power tube)... and then it started working again, but still in a very limited way. Any idea what the issue might be?
