Play it safe?? I don't get it. Either the nut is installed correctly, or its not!

I told that to the tech but he want's to play it safe and not screw around with anything. I just had a graphtech nut installed a a Les Paul special and I can't believe how much better it stays in tune. No locking tuners at all.

IMO, there is no such thing as a drop in nut. They all need a bit of tweaking to get them just right. It most likely will need to be lowered (take it off the bottom), and I do this on a belt sander. Sometimes they are a bit to wide as well.

    Hey Wildstarr hows it going?

I was reading a thread were you posted this
    Products*&*Ordering - Graph Tech

I ordered it for my Les Paul Deluxe but the guitar tech said it's too high. You said that there will probably be some modification. What mods or things did you have to do to fit the nut in?

    Thanks.

Hey, just checked out your video on your web site - it's REALLY good! The song is cool and intense (sort of reminded me of something that could have been on the Jesus Christ Superstar album but didn't sound like anything on it), the production has tons of ear candy on it and the performance is top notch! Great stuff!
