Stu recently sent me a couple of your sample bottles and as the maker I wanted to thank you particularly.
As a Scotch drinker I felt I owed you some comment about your products. Before I start I might preface comments by saying I really only drink one whiskey and that is "Teachers Highland Cream".
The first sample I tried was "White Dog" oak aged whiskey and I found the flavour a bit shallow compared to my usual. Additionally I thought I could detect a slight "perfume" taste not unlike Bourbon. I don't like Bourbon for that reason and so for me this one wouldn't be my choice...sorry mate.
Last night I tried "Yakima Chief" Choice Corn Whiskey and despite never having tried corn whiskey, I found the flavour not unlike the Teacher's that I like. Once again the depth of flavour wasn't there but it was something I could get used to easily enough....so well done you!
Hey Pat! I'm fine, just haven't been on the computer much for a few days. I'm still trying to get used to this place. It's cool though. I think it's hilarious that we all left the Epi forum and came here.
