You wrote "When you slide into those cool decending major runs like Clapton and Koss do, especially on the IV chord,".

Could you cite a couple of examples for me, please?

    Here is part 2:
Gear: Don't actually have a lester, my main guitar is one that looks like it is, but is made from parts. My others are a PRS with P90s and a Gibson Marauder heavily modified. We are a Mesa family, although my kids play too so our house looks like a music store and we have lots of pretty decent gear--Mesa (a Lonestar and a Venture bass amp), Fender (silverface vibrolux used mostly for harp and a JP bass), Lakland 5 string bass, Ashdown bass head, various cabs (Peavey, Aguilar, etc.), acoustic guitars, mandolins, fiddles, an upright bass, etc. etc. I play a lot of instruments. We do mostly blues, funk and soul stuff and more and more rock. Our band website is: Big Road

What kind of stuff do you play?

Sounds like a great setup. I did a lot of playing at Powderhorn in particular last year. It's sort of a strange scene and both bands decided it wasn't something we want to pursue--at least there. I actually play in 3 bands--Big Road (my band with my wife on bass), Mama's Little Hippies (the name sort of says it all--it's Big Road with a husband and wife duo Bret and Frisk Miller. Bret plays solo a lot at Blackjack) and Hip Pocket Music Company (a 10 piece horn band with multiple vocalists). I play a lot in the summers.

    More later...

Thanks, that LP has been around every block I've been around for nearly 30yrs. Not currently in a band however was hit up last fall to play around the ski hills this yr. Our schedules didn't seem to work, oh well, maybe next yr or this summer. Current rig is my '81 Goldburst, mid 80's washburn, B.C. Rich Bitch bass. Amp wise I'm using a late 70's polytone and a mid 80's peavy decade amp.
    Talk later,
    Steve

    Hi Mark,

Glad you like the Podcasts. Yeah, singing gets much easier when you know a few of the "tricks." Thanks for the kind words.
